Crossover Office menu in kde

Has anyone else experienced problems with the Crossover Office menu not being installed in the K menu of KDE?

Previous installs of Crossover Office, when I was using a MEPIS hard disk installation, provided two very handy menus for the suite. Now I'm using a Knoppix hard disk installation and those menus don't get installed.

This is with Crossover Office 4.2 and KDE 3.4.1, any help is greatly appreciated

Yes. I have also. On the codeweavers site there is a support ticket on this. The answer was that there was s directory with incorrect file ownership. Do the following:

chown -R userid $HOME/.config/menus/applications-merged/

Where userid is your userid

and then

/opt/cxoffice/bin/cxmenu --createall

Let me know if that helps.

Thanks for the reply, I found out that I don't have the file $HOME/.config/menus/applications-merged.

Could it be because I did a "managed multi-user mode" install of crossover?

Cheers,

How did you install it? I installed using the RPM.

I ran the install script from a shell as root; I'm on a Debian box (result
of Knoppix hard disk installation).

After reading http://www.codeweavers.com/support/docs/crossover-pro/ I
realized the problem is not very serious because all the programs run fine
from the command line and there's no catch in simply creating the menu in
KDE myself.

Thanks and please let me know if you have any other suggestions,

I'd open a ticket on Codeweavers site or ask someone on their IRC channel (#crossover on freenode.net).
