Hi ya,
just to search knowledge here - the ultimate endless source of Linux knowledge in the INet
I've an oldie Creative USB Webcam with these parameters:
PD: 1001
VID: 0x41e
PID: 400d
I don't know which chip is there inside the webcam, so I don't know if the alternate solution from Mark's OV511 driver will work for me or I should just use the epcam driver. Anyway, I did not succeeded in managing the webcam to work with both drivers.
OV511: I failed to compile this because of some strange syntax errors telling me that in some lines between 1660-1670 (1667 I think) of the modile ov511_core.c there re unknown structure members...

I do have the kernel sources installed an they're propely symlinked to the /usr/src/linux names. I do not know how to fix the source in order to compile.
EDIT: Kernel is 2.4.21-144-athlon and distro is SuSE 9.0
epcam: There're .diff files only so I don't know how to use them. The kernel does not have any epcam modules even in the sources tree.
My /proc/bus/usb/devices has knowledge of my webcam as it is there listed. The kernel has usb and v4l modules load and there is /dev/video0 device.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks in advance.
Kind regards,
sbogus
