Creating custom RPM kernel...

My goal is to run make menuconfig, change from M to installing with kernel in regards to Firewire and that is it. What I want to do is take my 8kstacks kernel run make menuconfig like I said and then create an RPM. So that all that would be needed is rpm -Uvh kernel....

Anyone with a good readme on this?
