Well seeing there is no SuSE forum here, I thought I'd ask over here. I have my 5 SuSE 9.0 Pro CD's but I'm trying to create one DVD iso for them to burn to DVD, anybody know how?
I have never made a DVD or a DVD iso before, but my best educated guess would be to copy the contents of all of the CDs into a directory and then make an image of the contents of that directory. There are additional steps that are needed if you wish to make it bootable that I do not know how to do. I believe XCDRoast can make bootable DVDs
Could you not do this in the same way as you make CD iso images? dd if=/dev/your-dvd-drive of=filename.iso
and then use your burning software to burn it?
This would be fine for archiving, but I doubt trying to install from the DVD would work.
Paths to installation packages might be relative to that particular CD - which might cause it to fail if the layouts are incompatible across CDROMs (not all discs will have /pkg or similar, for example).
I guess you could rip all the files from all the CDROMs into one master directory (maintaining heirarchy) then make an ISO and burn it....
