Help! How do you Create Virtual Nodes

I was wondering if anyone knew of any good tutorials on making virtual nodes? I did some googlign but I am not always the greatest at choosing my words. I am not an english speaker by native.

Or does anyone know enough of Virtual Nodes and can direct me through creating them on freebsd 4.8
