I use the cpufreq module and powernowd for frequency scaling. It seems to work well except it crashes on shutdown:
Code:
localhost powernowd: PowerNow Daemon Exiting.
localhost powernowd: powernowd shutdown succeeded
localhost cpufreq: Unloading cpufreq modules :
localhost cpufreq: failed
localhost cpufreq:
localhost cpufreq: /etc/rc0.d/K35cpufreq: line 199: 3100 Killed rmmod $MODULE 2>/dev/null
localhost kernel: Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at 0000000000000030 RIP:
localhost kernel: Modules linked in: <......list of modules here......>
localhost kernel: Pid: 3100, comm: rmmod Tainted: P 2.6.11-12mdk
<......cpu dump and call trace here......>
localhost rc: Stopping cpufreq: failed
<......other services shudown successfully......>

Synchronizing SCSI cache for disk sda:
And then it freezes at that point, and does not power-down (it does power-down with cpufreq and powernowd disabled).
Any ideas? Thanks.
