cp returns "read only fs" when used across partitons
This is a really bizzare problem. I've never encountered this before when copying across partitions. BTW, I'm running this command through Slack 10.1
I keyed this:
cp -v filename /win/
where "filename" is sitting on /dev/hda5 and /win is my windoze partition on /dev/hda2
And got this:
...can not copy to read-only fs
NOTE, both fs are mounted read-write so I can't imagine what's causing this.
Any ideas??
