I installed win3.0-pre1 and it runs...
now i mounted my cdrom and type in
winex3 setup
and i get this....
[root@localhost half-life]# winex3 setup
Xlib: extension "XFree86-DRI" missing on display ":0.0".

after 5368 requests (5344 known processed) with 0 events remaining.
ok well that problem i fixed w/ the dri.... My new problem is that when it starts to install it tells me that i cannotn play back WAV files that are necessary for the game. I have xmms set up and it works fine and i have sound ne help woul;d be appreicated.
i installed wine and i have it like /home/ian/Transgaming and i install under my name but i get that WAV problem... new window manager? im doing this in konsole..
download the source .tar.gz of wineX 3
exstract it into the / of your system (root)
then from the console type winex3 /mnt/cdrom/setup.exe
to run the HL setup from CD beating in mind u have mounted it and all.
dont forget u can use Point2Play with wineX now and it gives u a nice menu for mainting what games u have installed etc...
