I installed win3.0-pre1 and it runs...
now i mounted my cdrom and type in

and i get this....
[root@localhost half-life]# winex3 setup
Xlib: extension "XFree86-DRI" missing on display ":0.0".
XIO: fatal IO error 0 (Success) on X server ":0.0"

Hey!

see if you have /usr/local/lib in the /etc/ld.so.conf file

if not add it to the file...

then run ldconfig

then run this and see what you get...

ldd libopengl32.so

also check out the output of this

ls -l /usr/lib/libGL*

you might also want to get the latest XFree86 DRI from CVS

http://www.xfree86.org/cvs/

http://www.xfree86.org/4.3.0/DRI.html

download the source .tar.gz of wineX 3
exstract it into the / of your system (root)
then from the console type winex3 /mnt/cdrom/setup.exe
to run the HL setup from CD beating in mind u have mounted it and all.

dont forget u can use Point2Play with wineX now and it gives u a nice menu for mainting what games u have installed etc...
