XIO: fatal IO error 0 (Success) on X server ":0.0" after 5368 requests (5344 known processed) with 0 events remaining. Can any1 help? |
Hey!
see if you have /usr/local/lib in the /etc/ld.so.conf file if not add it to the file... then run ldconfig then run this and see what you get... ldd libopengl32.so also check out the output of this ls -l /usr/lib/libGL* |
you might also want to get the latest XFree86 DRI from CVS
http://www.xfree86.org/cvs/ http://www.xfree86.org/4.3.0/DRI.html |
dont forget that the latest verion of wineX3 is out so would be werth upgrading and the pre is just full of 2 many bugs for my licking.

not sure but it might be a permissions problem if your not root.
maybe try it in another window manager like twm |
i installed wine and i have it like /home/ian/Transgaming and i install under my name but i get that WAV problem... new window manager? im doing this in konsole..
|
download the source .tar.gz of wineX 3
exstract it into the / of your system (root) then from the console type winex3 /mnt/cdrom/setup.exe to run the HL setup from CD beating in mind u have mounted it and all. dont forget u can use Point2Play with wineX now and it gives u a nice menu for mainting what games u have installed etc... |
when you say konsole I guess you are saying your in kde, Another window manager would be something other than kde.
|
correct, in some form of a GUI
