"Could not unlock CD Drive"

The above is the error I get when trying to record a saved audio cd with k3b. I installed a new drive a few weeks ago but haven't tried to record on it until now. Is this a permissions issue or is there something wrong with the drive?

Then it's a permissions problem, and you should fix it so normal users (like yourself) can write to the CD ROM. You'll probably have to make a suitable entry in /etc/fstab, and I can't tell you exactly how this should look, as diferent distros seem to do things slightly differently! Happy experimenting!
