corrupted files
Running the Avast virus scanner the warning come up that in the directory
usr/share/terminfo/v/ve52/l and others always in user/share/terminfo/and so
on are corrupted I do not know what the use are of this files the were all
ARC files
CAn I deleted all or is it because it is a ARC file that he come up with this message. Tar gz files did not gives this message
Hard to say ... do you have any tools/programs that would
normally allow you to handle those files? Do these still
work on them? Does avast's configuration or documentation
mention a way to check files of that type?

To be honest I do not no where this files are for.
Avast only gives the choice before scanning to scan tar gz files to or not
and of course scanning the whole system or som directories only
and after scanning with files like those which to bew corrupted
she gives the following option
1) Delete
2) Put in a other directory
3) Put in a virus chest
As avast home edition is frre of charge you do not get a manual
