Copying mysql database to another comp

hello,

Im still a bit new to linux. Like the topic says, im trying to copy a database from comp A to another B comp. The big problem for me is that mysql on comp A doesnt work anymore so i cant use mysqldump or something similar.

Im not sure why, but the whole filesystem is borked, many libs are missing.
I have installed another linux dist. on another comp, now i would glad copy the database to this comp.
Is there a way to direct access mysql content?

Thanks

Migrating MySQL

Did you try simply coping over the entire /var/lib/mysql directory? Just make sure that you sent the permission up correctly.
