Copying and Pasting from KDE to a remote Windows session
Hi all,
My computer at work dual boots Mandrake 9.2 and Windows XP.
One of my daily tasks require me to remote to a Win 2K server from XP, grab a txt file from my c: and past it to a remote folder so it can be used in a Perl script. To do this I remote back into my C: so it shows on the 2K desktop, copy and paste.
If I'm in Linux (Mandrake 9.2) I can remote to my 2K server but I can't grab anything from my Windows partition and then copy/paste. Is there any software out there that will help me accomplish this? Please let me know if I have to provide any further info.
Hi!
Can you do it from your windows partition to your linux one?
Could be a permissions issue... (I suppose you have the win partition mounted, of course )
What program/service did you try (in linux)?
Maybe you can use ftp to do this task.

Hi, I've copied things from my Windows partition to my Linux one before and it worked fine. No problems there.
I used mstsc to remte from XP to our remote server and I went to the run command and typed //ip address/c$ (or back slashes, which ever it was). I will try ftp on Monday. Thanks for the advice.
