Copy with Xsane

I am trying to copy a document using xsane. Something is not right .....

I use the copy function and the document is scanned. Two print spooler icons appear (one then disappears) and the light on the printer flashes as receiving a job. Nothing is ever printed. It quietly does nothing.

The scanner is working .... I can scan and save a file. The printer is working .... I can print from other applications.

I do not quite understand what I have not done correctly here ..... Any ideas?

I think so. I went to Preferences / Setup / Copy / Add Printer and entered the name of the system printer from the output of lpstat -d. There was nothing else to setup. Should there have been?
