copy and paste in terminal


Hi,

I am trying to find a way to do a copy and paste operation in my linux terminal.There are no menu options to do this operation.
I am running KDE on Redhat 6.2.

Highlight the text to put it into the buffer and use your middle mouse button to paste it (or press two buttons if you have a third button emmulation)

I did try that.I have a optical mouse so it has a wheel in the center. Pressing two buttons doesnt help.

What about pressing the wheel, on my logitech optical wheel mouse my wheel is behaving as a middle button (it can be pushed) If it is still not an option edit your /etc/X11/XF86Config or /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 whichever is suitable for your distro
in the
Section "InputDevice"
add
Option "Emulate3Buttons" "yes"

now you would be able to use two buttons to emmulate the middle one.
