Converting Dreambox .TS files to MPGs or AVI's
 

Hi there. Could someone lend me a hand? No matter what I tried, it seems that when I download something from my sattelite receiver to the PC, and run it thru any program I could find, I end up with huge black areas to the left and right of the picture, with a narrow image in the middle.
How would I "stretch" this image, say with ffmpeg?

With "cropping". I'd probably use something a little easier than ffmpeg directly, something simpler like kino might work. Although you could use any number of other applications, even mencoder. The biggest hint though is you need to crop the black borders.
