convert utility

I have a linux red hat 8 box.

I'm using
convert ps:test.eps bmp:test.bmp
to convert an eps file to a bitmap image, but this conversion obfuscates slightly the final image.
The same is if I do
convert ps:test.eps gif:test.gif
or
convert ps:test.eps jpg:test.jpg

How can I use 'convert' without ANY modification to the final image?
I just want a perfect copy but in a graphic format different from eps.

Is there any other conversion utility or library that works better?

Thanks in advance.

AFAIK you can't expect a conversion from, say, million colours to 256 colours to have no impact on the result.

My eps file just contains a barcode (black and white pixels)!!!

Just 2 colors (not millions).

Is there a method to solve this problem?

How can I convert?
