Convert pdf to html or txt or remaster the pdf?

I have a pdf file that won't display properly on my mobile phone.

How can I fix this? I have a browser on it.

I tried
Code:
pdftohtml foo.pdf
but this just converted it to images with html links to them!

So I then tried
Code:
pdftohtml -c foo.pdf
this crashed out complaining about libpng.

What else can I try?

if you download the latest acrobat reader from adobe, you can save a pdf as a text file. I haven't used it, but give it a go.
