convert mov to mp3 or wav

Hi I am trying to batch convert some qt. mov. files I have to wav. or preferable mp3.

I am able to use "mplayer file.move -ao pcm -aofile file.wav" to convert one file at a time, but I have many files. Does anyone know how I can batch convert and keep the file names with the new files.

Also I am able to convert to wav but if I substitue "mp3", it doesn't work.

Mplayer wont write .mp3 you will have to convert it after. I use Lame for that. I don't know if there is a way mplayer to batch convert as you have it, but maybe a script could do it.

I usually use Mplayer to capture streams in raw format or get .wav files, then I can use Lame to batch convert them all to .mp3. I put the link of a post I put up with the script. It should save you at least a little time...
