controlling linux by voice && unable to install sphinx2-continuous

hello,

i've been looking for some software on linux for voice recognition in order to controll system just with my voice.
i found perlbox-voice which after starting and pressing start listener shows message that sphinx2-continuous is missing:

Code:
Can't exec "/usr/bin/sphinx2-continuous": No such file or directory at /usr/lib/perlbox-voice/PerlboxListener.pl line 112.
readline() on closed filehandle LISTENER at /usr/lib/perlbox-voice/PerlboxListener.pl line 114.
i can't find or install the sphinx2-continuous.
i download sphinx2 deb package but after installing it always complains about some packages missing like libpq5 or libmysqlclient16 which i can't even find.

do you have any idea how to get the sphinx2-continuous installed?

or any other tool for speech to text that can be "easily" installed?

my goal is the tool constantly listening for mic inputs and then just convert it to text which i can further process with python or bash script.

i am using ubuntu and debian

any advice is much appreciated.
thanks

Perlbox-voice is ancient and not supported anymore since 2005. You won't find the needed packages in the needed versions for modern distributions.
Have a look at Simon for a supported speech recognition program.
