Post Contacts software for Linux?

I'm in the process of transitioning from Windows to Linux. I use Microsoft Outlook 2003 on Windows for my e-mail, contacts & calendar. Unfortunately Thunderbird only does e-mail.

Can anyone recommend some good open-source contacts software for Linux? Preferably something that's also compatible with Windows too so I can use it on my work laptop as well. A web interface would be nice too but is not essential.

I have tried using openldap to set up an LDAP server which did work, but didn't offer enough functionality and was somewhat cumbersome to maintain.

It's also fairly important that I'm able to import my Outlook contacts in - so something that supports vCards or some other format that Outlook can export to is very important.

Novell (formerly Ximian) Evolution is a good Outlook replacement.. can even connect to Microsoft Exchange servers.. I think you'll find it quite inviting.. It also does calendaring... and FYI - these two posts should have been placed into a single thread...

I quite like Thunderbird - I was wondering if there was a separate standalone product that did calendaring.
