I installed the Nvidia drivers on a Mandrake 9.2 my graphics card is a Gforce4 Mx440se 64mb it seemed to be installed fine and i go in and try to increase resolution and it does not do it just stays at current 1024x768 and i know my monitor can go 1024x+ i have done it before so i try and go into console by Ctrl+Alt+F2 and the screan freaks out. the font is 10 times as big and the screen has gray blockes all over the place..oh and all of the text is blinking not just the cursor...i can barly make out what it says and its just a login so now i am confused and would like some help..thanks

What device do you use after installing the drivers?

Have you read the documentation on the nvidia site?
You have to look into the config file of Xfree4/X.org ("/etc/X11/XF86Config-4"
) , and look for the device.

Look for: Driver "nv"
and change it too Driver "nvidia"

here is the link: ftp://download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Li...106/README.txt
