Question Console internet?

Does anybody know how to connect to the internet using dial-up in the console only. I am incredibly lazy, and spend a lot of time in the console, and don't want to load KDE everytime I want to connect. I'm sure it exist, and I'm sure it's only like 26 KB, but I can't find it. Anybody?

Lynx is a great browser and it's what I plan to use, but I need a way of *connecting* to my ISP probably via some PPP program. Same thing in KDE, I can open Mozilla, but that won't connect me, I must use KPPP to do that. But thanks replying!

Talking

I like your style, ehdwuld! I'm going to try that one first. I guess the simplest solution is the best solution.

Try "man pppd" and/or "info pppd" to see the info on the back-end for which kppp is the front end. Of course, as previously posted, wvdialer is nice as well.

I would use wvdial and links. I prefer links to lynx. Wvdial is usually easy to setup and run. "pon" and "ifup ppp0" can work also, depending....

just because you're in a temrinal doesn't mean you have to use a text browser....

links2 -driver fb

gives a full graphical browser with mouse support from gpm.
