conservative settings for video and monitor


Im have areally old monitor and video card im trying to configure with X. How can i sett conservative settings so that i can run x for windowmaker and other light wm's. the verical and horizontla settings are mentioned as critiacal considerations but i have no idea how to set these. its a 2124 54khz ibm monitor from '95. It came with an IBM aptiva with 32mb RAM and 2.9g hd. Cool.

Get your settings (which your moniter supports) from the moniter manual or the website of the manufacturer.
