Question Connecting to internet using broadband

I have Fedora Core 5 installed on my system. I can't able to connect to internet. I have a Broadband.

You will have to supply some more details....
Cable modem or DSL?
Do you have a router?
Is the connection static IP or DHCP?
What settings have you put into the internet configuration?
What errors are you getting when you try to connect?

Please give full details about what type of Router or Modem is being used and what are other network parameters provided by ISP.
