Question ./congifure can't find X

Hey everyone. I'm trying to compile High performance liquid and configure can't locate X, I don't understant because I'm using KDE so shouldn't I be in X, I'm using Mandy 9.0 by the way. If any on could help it would be most appreciated. Here is what configure says:

checking for X... configure: error: Can't find X includes. Please check your installation and add the correct paths!

Thanks,
Jared

I did what you saud and it solved the X problem but now there is a Qt problem. I'm new to linux so I'm not really sure what all of this means. It says:

checking for Qt... configure: error: Qt (>= Qt 3.0.2) (headers and libraries) t found. Please check your installation!
For more details about this problem, look at the end of config.log.

I looked at the config log but couldn't make heads or tails of it. Have any other of you guys who use mandrake had this problem?

thanks,
Jared

If you're sure you have all that libraries&headers , ./configure --help will show you a way to use aditional option .
I had the same problem with my Debian , so I did ./configure --x-libraries=path_to_X11libraries --qt-libraries=path_to_qtlibraries ... and so on .

you don't need a newer version of kde or anything, it's just *exactly* the same thign again, install the qt3-devel rpm
