configuring webmin burner - device list empty

I'm trying to configure webmin (1.160 running on Debian 3.0) but there are no devices listed in the dropdown under CD burner device options --> Burner device.

The burner is a Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-107D located at /dev/hdc, and is working perfectly - recording CDs and DVDs - using k3b.

Eventually I want to get webmin recording DVDs, but for now, I just want to get it recognising the device and recording CDs!

Anybody know how to get webmin to recognise the burner?

Your help is most appreciated

Matthew

This is really strange... Try download the latest version of webmin. It has been updated just a week ago.

Let me know how it goes!

No luck unfortunately. I updated to Webmin 1.180 using Webmin's own update tool (1.180 isn't in debian/unstable yet) but still no burner device listed. I haven't been able to find any mention of this problem on google and I'm stuck.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Matthew

You can download the book of webmin.

Try reading pages 70 to 72. I am really sorry, I can't help you more on this... You should also give a try in the Webmin mailing list.

Hope I could do more. Cheers!
