Question configuring samba with swat


hi i am running redhat 8 and trying to configure the swat.

i started the samba services entered swat's port 901 into /etc/services i restart it.

when i go to the browser and typed localhost:901 it times out

can someone please help me out....thanx

yes i did rpm -qa | grep samba
it shows
samba-*
samba-swat-*
samba-common-*
samba-client-*
* representing the version number

Is it enabled? Run "ntsysv" and make sure swat is selected.

Do you have any firewall rules that could be stopping a connection?
