I installed KDE 3.3.1 and ksmoothdock-.35. I like the ksmoothdock and would like to use it over the standard taskbar (I believe it is called kicker.) I researched this at kde-forum and came up empty. They recommended that I edit "panel.desktop" file and add this:
It works great, the kicker taskbar does not appear. However, the kde button on the ksmoothdock can pull up the K-Menu. I researched some more and discovered that when this kde button is click the command "dcop kicker kicker popupKMenu 0" is executed.
From the looks of that command, the ksmoothdock is dependent on the kicker panel (This is the program I am trying to disable on bootup.) loading on bootup.
Is there some other command I can use to to pullup the K-Menu?
