Question ./configure finds this problem with Amarok

I'm trying to install amarok on SuSE 9.1 ./configure gives me this error:

checking for X... configure: error: Can't find X includes. Please check your ins tallation and add the correct paths!
steve@linux:~/amarok-1.2-beta3>

What's it mean and what do I do?

Thanks in advance

Steve
