./configure can never find x ???


every time I run ./configure I get this message:

checking for X... configure: error: Can't find X includes. Please check your installation and add the correct paths!
[scontrol@localhost superkaramba-0.35]$

what does it mean and what do I do?

You need to install the X development packages - xlibs-devel or XFree86-devel or whatever they might be called on your distribution.

where can i find the package?

Hi, i tried searching for xlibs-devel or xlibs-dev package for my linux suse 10.2 version. I am unable to find it. could anyone let me know where i can download it?

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
I tried searching in those webpages. but i didnt find it for Suse 10.2
I have searched in google also. no results....
i wonder if xlibs-devel is the appropriate name used in Suse or is there something equivalent in Suse. Please help.
