Configurable Mail Client?

Can any Linux mail client be configured to:-
Either: prevent the attachment of any files to outgoing mail - ideally removing the option from menus and toolbars?
Or: allow only specific files (eg: from a specific location) to be attached?

Thanx
Mike

Never heard of a MUA being capable of restricting that.
If you find a way to disable multipart MIME messages also have a look at workarounds outside the MUA's scope like "uuencode <file> | mail <addr>" or users copying the atachment in the body.
