Complete DVD backup software

Im looking for software that will allow me to copy a dvd. menu and everything. I'm not to sure about linux software for this...ive always used windoze. but most dvds nowadays are DVD-9. so it would also be great if the software could also transcode the dvd to fit on one dvd. thanks!

I never played with DVD, buuut...
dd if=/dev/dvd of=/whatever.iso should copy the exact data that are on your dvd.

Transcode , my man. Make sure you get the dependencies, but it seems to be able to do everything.

No problem; if you want to make it real easy on yourself, you may want to check out Dvdrip
It's a gui frontend for transcode.
