Compiz, screenlets, and fedora 8

[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
Hello there.
I recently installed fedora's newest release in fedora 8. I decided to give compiz a go just for fun. I discovered that it has a similar feature to mac's widgets called screenlets/widgets. I went through a tutorial located here to install compiz. Once I had it installed I attempted to use the screenlets/widgets, however I was unable to. I did a little searching and discovered that you have to install it separately. I was just wondering if anyone had any success with this? I found RPM package but I was unable to discover exactly where and how i am supposed to install it. Any help would greatly be appreciated

thanks in advance

todd

Download them from here and follow the instructions. A warning though: a v0.0.10 release does not speak for stability. There are other widget programs that you might want to try first. (I don't know any by name)
