is there a way to assign 'button1 button3' to initiate rotate cube.
for some reason i am not able to grab the left or rite edge of the screen to move it and i would prefer not needing to hold down alt/ctrl/super in order to use the mouse to grab the screen.
thanks wagaboy, i see this in the link you gave me
Quote:
Rotate Cube>Bindings>Initiate (with mouse) to bottom edge+button1.
Now I can drag the cube at any time using only the left mouse button, just by clicking anywhere along the bottom edge of screen (I have my taskbar at the top).
but they seem to have taken away support for this too (mine is set to this but it doesnt work -- do you know of any workarounds ?).
It works for me and normally too--it's not a workaround. There are two ways to set this up in CCSM -> Rotate Cube -> Bindings -> next to 'Initiate', there are 3 buttons:
1. Click on the first button and a GUI configuration editor should popup. (This is how it looks: http://wiki.compiz.org/CCSM?action=A...useBinding.png) OR
2. Click on the second button and enter "<BottomEdge>Button1" WITHOUT the quotes.
thanks, i set mine the same way but it doesnt work... i think i read somewhere that they are doing away with screen-grabbing and cube in favor of gnome-3.
edit: i just did a sudo yum -y install compiz ccsm and now it works perfectly.
