compiling Xine

I compiled and installed the XINE core without problem.
THe problem happens when I try to compile XINE frontend - gXine
I use these method:
First I did

Code:

./configure

on the GXINE source code.
And when it finished without errors I did

Code:

sudo checkinstall

But I get the following error(see attached file):
gXine-compile-checkinstall

Ok Firstly you need to give more information when you are asking for help. What I would suggest is either Get your Ubuntu able to use rpms and install that way or find a debian install file. It would like xine.deb. Install that way. It will make it so much easier with Ubuntu. Oh and remember if u don't like sudo, you can get rid of that and go back to a good ole' fastion root account.

But thats only a workaround. Ive specifically chosen the compile from source and thus learn something new.
I really dont understand why did it compile XINE without problems, but with its frontend gXine there are problems.
Anzone knows the reason?

PS. I really like SUDO. Don't understand why some ppl disslike it.
