[SOLVED] compiling the Kernel: is there a deteiled guide to all the available options?

Hi there!
i'm recompiling the latest Kernel, and i would like to understand better what is the function of every available option...
is there a guide somewhere that explains each option more in depth than the quick help of menuconfig?

There is. Are you compiling using

Code:

make menuconfig

If you are, then when you have highlighted a particular kernel option, press 'h' to bring up help information. This is the best way to do it, and have an understanding of what is going into your computer.

Yes, i know there is the quick help in "make menuconfig" but i would like something more in depth... with larger explainations..

Look into the Documentation directory of your kernel source.

You will find much to read there.
