I'm having trouble compiling PHP 5 on Fedora Core 2 with Apache 2. Configure runs fine:
Code:
./configure \
--with-apxs2=/usr/sbin/apxs \
--enable-ftp \
--with-gettext=/usr/lib/gettext \
--with-zlib=/usr \
--with-gd \
--with-ldap=/usr \
--with-mysql=/usr/bin/mysql_config \
--with-pgsql=/usr/share/pgsql \
--enable-sockets
I get an error
Quote:
make: *** [ext/ldap/ldap/lo] Error 1
|
when trying to make however. I've googled and searched LQ but I can't find anything that seems to have to do with this. Before the error that I quoted above, it does have many errors regarding syntax, undeclared variables, etc all in files that have ldap in them. This is the first time I've ever tried to compile PHP so I'm probably missing something fairly obvious. Any ideas on what the problem could be and what I need to do to fix it?
PS: Are there any PHP5 RPMs available? I can't seem to find any, and most people have said just to compile it, but it would make things a lot simpler.
Thanks.
Edit: OK, Never mind. I think I must have accidently copied a file to the directory that I was compiling it from that shouldn't have been there. I removed it, reconfiged and then make worked.
