From what I have gathered here in the other threads, the GTK2 libraries don't have "gtk-config", only GTK1. What script path could I give to ./configure so it will work?
You'll have to check the README or INSTALL file for Mplayer since every program is different. One of these files will probably tell you what arguments you need to use to change where config looks for your GTK libraries.
It says the "gtk-config" could be in the /opt/bin folder...which its not. It should be in the /opt/gnome/bin, which is my equivalent. And I know which arguments to change, its just that I have to give a path to the config file, which I don't know...Here is what arguments I pass already with my ./configure file. (I already found the "glib-config")
Okay, I missed it. I found "gtk-config" in some /usr/. . . or so on. It didn't work anyways. But it's okay. I took samwwwblack advice and got the new MPlayer (pre8). I did the ./configure --enable-gui with no additional arguments. It compilied great! Thanks for support!
