Can anyone direct me to a page that describes how to compile Gnome 2.10 from scratch?

Maybe this? Your profile has quite a list of distrobutions but all of them have package management tools, whats wrong with installing it via your distros preferred method?

Thanks, but I am not interested in Garnome.
I want to compile everything from scratch. I want to learn how all the elements of Gnome work. Maybe mess with the code a little bit, etc.

There are some instructions somewhere on the gnome or gnome developer websites.
