Compiling C programs in Fedora Core 2

Hello,

I recently installed Fedora Core 2. I am unable to compile C programs.

Basically, I want to compile the Lex output files (which is lex.yy.c). So that I am able to do my programming with Lex.

Please help.

you should be able to go grab an rpm for gcc and then you will be able to compile C programs.

firstly, thanx for replying!

I went to the Add/remove Applications of FC 2. But, still the problem persists. If you mean something else than grabbing an rpm. Please, it would be great if you explain it.

Pull up a terminal and execute gcc -v. If you get a version number then the C compiler is properly installed. If you don't then somewhere in there, the rpm failed to proplery install itself.
