Cool Compiling a new Kernel

I'm interested in compiling a new kernel for my P4 linux box. I have had several attempts but on my first i forgot to save my original .config file. Guess what its been so modified now that i cant see what i'm doing wrong when i try new kernels.
Could somebody email a file to me for the intel P4 a sort of a default with usb modules in etc?

Thanks

The configuration of kernel is unique for your system; hence, I'd regret to say that you'd have to do it by yourself all over again.

in my oppinion you just have tom learn it yourself by trial and error. After making a couple bad working/non working kernels you will (at leasyt i did) learn how to make them so they work (well more or less )
