Uhhh...

This question makes no sense. You don't compile with Webmin, and you wouldn't need to compile OpenSUSE 11.1 anyway; you would just install it. Webmin is interface and control software...

Do you want to compile and install Webmin on OpenSUSE? How does a live CD figure into this?

Is your native language something other than english?

Try again to ask your question, but please make an effort to clearly state what you want to do.

Hi -

I doubt you'll have do any "compiling", and I suspect the whole task is probably going to be a lot easier than one might think.

"Webmin" is a web based tool for "administering systems". Conceptually, it's a bit like Windows "Control Panel".

OpenSUSE also has it's own, built-in "Control Panel" GUI, it's called "Yast". Probably the best way to install Webmin and get started is by installing it from the Yast GUI.

SUGGESTIONS:
1. Read and familiarize yourself a bit about Webmin here:
http://www.webmin.com/demo.html

2. Read this tutorial to familiarize yourself a bit with OpenSUSE:
http://www.dedoimedo.com/computers/opensuse-11-5.html

3. You should be able to install Webmin from the Yast GUI: Add/Remove Software

Merci beaucoup

But again, I believe you're misinterpreting the assignment. Or the person who gave you the assignment is misunderstanding what needs to be done.

If you want "webadmin" on OpenSuse, ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS INSTALL IT.

You should *not* necessarily need to compile *anything*.

Please ask him/her to clarify exactly what they're asking of you.

s'il vous plaît

I'd recommend the following:
1. Get the OpenSuSE DVD (or download the .iso, and burn it to DVD)
2. Install OpenSuSE (from the bootable DVD)
3. Go into "Yast2 -> Add/Remove Software" and select "Webmin"
4. Install webmin and verify that it works
5. Voila! Done
