compile kernel stuck at building image....help

hi there, using mdk 9.0, kernel 2.4.19

trying to compile it, because i wanna enable famebuffer, g400 support, apm power off management, and acpi features.

here's what i did so far:
install kernel src from packages
login as root:
cd /usr/src/linux-2.4.19-35mdk
make xconfig (selected the options that i wanted and save)

make dep
make clean
nohup make bzImage &
tail -f nohup.out

then i got this following msg at the end of nohup.out:

process.c:436:2: invalid preprocessing directive #allen
process.c: In function `machine_halt':
process.c:440: parse error before "defined"
process.c:442:2: #endif without #if
process.c:449:2: invalid preprocessing directive #allen
process.c: In function `machine_power_off':
process.c:450: warning: implicit declaration of function `apm_set_power_state'
process.c:450: `APM_STATE_OFF' undeclared (first use in this function)
process.c:450: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
process.c:450: for each function it appears in.)
make[1]: *** [process.o] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.4.19-35mdk/arch/i386/kernel'
make: *** [_dir_arch/i386/kernel] Error 2

it just stuck there, i had to use Ctrl-Z to get out, i haven't done anything yet after i rev this error, don't want this image kill my box

did i do something wrong? or did i forgot to do something?

p.s: i wanted enable apm and acpi because i can't power down the box when halting the system. and i was hoping enable apm / acpi will allow me to fix it

.... you know what guys, i found the problem

i was being a smart ass and tried to twist :

/usr/src/linux-2.4.19-35mdk/arch/i386/kernel/process.c

i modified to machine_halt function, heheh now i forgot what the code "suppose" to be.
would anyone got a copy of it and send to me plz? (or at least copy the machine_halt(void)) code?

thanks heheh ^_^
