compile GCC 4.0 error!

I make the gcc 4.0 with gcc 3.2.4,But I got the error:
[all-build-libiberty] error 2.
So I can't install gcc 4.0.
Who compile the gcc4.0 successed?

you need to post the actual error ( go up about 20 lines and post from there down).

Ya, I am sure we can help you providing you show us the real error, I currently am running a self compiled GCC 4.0.0 myself....

Just to perhaps help you out before you even go through the recompilation step yourself... make sure you have glibc-2.3.5 compiled before you compile gcc-4.0.0 (and then recompile with with gcc-4.0.0 after you have compiled that successfully). I found that relieved a lot of headaches on my system.
