Compile ekiga in fedora 12

Hello all,
Iam compiling ekiga in fedora 12 but when I make command ./configure --prefix=/usr for ekiga then it show errors:
checking dependency style of gcc... gcc3
checking for x86 platform... yes
checking compiler support for MMX... yes
checking for XShmAttach in -lXext... yes
checking for XV... configure: error: Package requirements (xv) were not met:

No package 'xv' found

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables XV_CFLAGS
and XV_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details.

I think I must install NetBSD but I met problem when install it.
Please give your ideas.
thanks,

You need the libxv-devel package (I'm just guessing at the exact name since I don't use Fedora).

Additionally, you should not use /usr as the prefix. /usr/local would be a better option.

Then check the config.log to find out exactly what file it was looking for. Then you should be able to work out what package provides that file.
