common file system?

okay guys, i told you i'd be back... i just ordered my new 40gb and i'm excited to dual boot. but i have one question.

what i want to do is give linux 10gb or more, and use the rest of the space on the new drive for mp3s and such. is there any kind of common file system between windows and linux so that i would be able to play my mp3s from linux and windows?

thanks.

just use a fat partition for it.. linux will be able to read from it.. but you would have a much harder time formatting a ext2 or linux partition and getting windows to read from it..
