I'd written a sxw file generator from the commandline php.

Now what i've to , I'm trying to look some script to convert .sxw files to .doc one.

Can anyone tell me something to convert the .sxw file to .doc file except the ooffice macros (they too heavy as conversion should took place inn miliseconds.)

How about "abiword --to=doc foo.sxw"?
I mean, you didn't mention not using Abiword ;-p

Start by filling in your distro info in your profile. That could help us help you.
Then try to install it again, pipe output and error output to logfile and post the relevant parts of that logfile.

You can do that yourself once it's installed.

Thanx for ur so encouraging suggestions / comments...

I Installed abiword with Yum Intall Enchant.
Now it is converting .sxw to .doc with unreadable text.
I enquires of it, but there may be either some plugin problem or it is not working properly at my running environment (Fedora core 4) or not capable....

I want to know "Is it converting .sxw file to .doc with readable contents?"

If anybody has a failure or success, tell me about that.

And I was asking about benchmarking, because it was creating problem with installation which is solved by yum insall Enchant (a pkg needed by abiword) but i want to avoid 'yum Install' as it can do something nasty with my other application which use shared libraries.

Also at the time of installation, abiword give a GUI checking window, which i don't know may create some problem at the time of installation if display of my system can not be set on.

I don't know much about comiling source. If any body know... let me know to compile the source of abiword.
