Command xinput to set Coordinate Transformation Matrix

Make mouse travel shorter for a big screen...

I want to change the ratio of mouse movement to pointer movement on my screen by changing the coordinate transformation matrix for the mouse with the command "xinput set-prop". After I found the id codes for the mouse and the matrix code with xinput I tried the command
Code:
xinput set-prop 10 138 200020001
.

The error messages produced are:
Quote:
X Error of failed request: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)
Major opcode of failed request: 131 (XInputExtension)
Minor opcode of failed request: 57 ()
Value in failed request: 0x8a
Serial number of failed request: 19
Current serial number in output stream: 20
Neither my knowledge nor the Internet tells me what is wrong with this command. My linux is openSUSE 42.2 on a Lenovo T500 with Intel graphics.

Separate the individual 9 elements of the matrix with spaces. Otherwise it treats it as one large (out of bounds) number pertaining only to the 1st element.

2 0 0 0 2 0 0 0 1
