Command line tool like fetchyahoo to fetch gmail?


I just got my gmail account and I was wondering if there's a command line utility to fetch gmail, like the "fetchyahoo" program gets yahoo mail?

There are two gdesklets you can use to check your gmail accounts.

Well, that would be alright but I was looking for something to use on the command line, in a terminal.
